it's been about half a year since you commented this; whoops, sorry! i don't check deviantart much anymore and this is an old account. if I remember correctly, she had a post on her deviantart page asking for people's characters and that she would pick some she liked to redesign. other than that it's simply luck. i think the posts are time sensitive as well.
